Vijayawada, July 9 -- Governor of Andhra Pradesh and President of Indian Red Cross society, AP State Branch A Abdul Nazeer, participated in the Annual General meeting of the Red Cross here today.
Speaking at the award presentation ceremony, Governor Abdul Nazeer said that he deeply appreciates the efforts made by the State Branch and all the District Branches of the Red Cross in mobilizing resources and undertaking various activities in the areas of Blood Donation, First Aid Training, Disaster Management and Special Health Camps.
He made a special mention of the Red Cross Volunteers as they provided relief to the victims during the recent floods in the Godavari and Krishna rivers.
