Vijayawada, Nov. 21 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday directed the officials to implement the universal health insurance scheme from April 1, 2026.
At a meeting to review medical and health services through video conferencing from the secretariat, he made it clear that medical colleges will run under the jurisdiction and supervision of the state government though they were developed under PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode.
The meeting also discussed development of medical colleges, universal health scheme and Sanjeevani health project in Kuppam.
