Vijayawada, March 8 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday announced that a target to develop 5 lakh women as entrepreneurs has been set in the state.

Participating in International Women's Day celebrations organised by the state government at Amaravati Parade Grounds, he noted that one lakh women have already turned into entrepreneurs within a year and expressed confidence that Andhra Pradesh will soon have 5 lakh women entrepreneurs, the highest in the country. He said there should be one MSME from every house and 50 percent of them led by women.

The Chief Minister also unveiled the 'Swayam AP' logo for marketing products made by Women Self-Help Groups.
