Visakhapatnam, Aug. 29 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has stated that India is fast emerging as a global food processing hub and Andhra Pradesh contributes 9 percent of food processing output in the country which stands at 49 billion US Dollars.

Participating as chief guest of India Food Manufacturing Summit organised by Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) here on Friday, the Chief Minister highlighted that by contributing 15.6 per cent of total fruit production AP has emerged as Fruit capital of India.

"In addition, AP contributes around 32 percent of marine sea food exports and covers 2.26 lakh acres under Aquaculture. AP ranks first in registered food industries with 6000 functional units," the Chief Minister ...
