Vijayawada, Nov. 26 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation on Thursday for development works at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple estimated to cost Rs 260 crore.

In the first phase, the government has earmarked Rs 140 crore for constructing a compound wall, seven storeyed Mahagopuram, Arjita Sevamandapam, Radha mandapam, Anjaneya Swamy temple, and Pushkarini (temple tank) works.

In the second phase, SriVari temple, Mada street, approach roads, Annadanam complex, Yatrinivas, quarters for Archakas and staff, administrative building, dhyana mandapam and vehicle parking areas will be developed.
