Vijayawada, Sept. 19 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today vowed to make the state drought-proof with the best water management and reiterated the need for intra-linking of rivers to ensure water supply to all regions.
He pledged to take steps to map water reserves by arranging sensors at water projects to gauge both groundwater level and rainwater. He also assured of adopting a perfect water management through data-driven decisions.
Speaking on the irrigation sector in the Legislative Assembly at Amaravati, near here today, the Chief Minister said as thousands of TMCs of water from both Godavari and Krishna rivers are flowing waste into the sea, the interlinking of rivers will help in a big way to ensure water supply...
