Tirumala, Sept. 24 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu presented a pair of 'Pattu Vastrams' (silk robes) to the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Wednesday, a customary presentation on behalf of the state government on the first day of the annual Brhamotsavams that began today.
This marks the 14th time Naidu has presented 'pattu Vastrams' to Lord Balaji on the event of the annual brahmotsavams in his capacity as the CM of the state, setting a record for any CM in the history of Andhra Pradesh.
He took part in a brief ceremony at the Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple located in front of the main temple, where priests tied him a 'parivattam' (silk headband).
