Vijayawada, Aug. 15 -- The Chandrababu Naidu led coalition government in Andhra Pradesh launched one more flagship scheme 'free bus travel' for women here on Friday.
The Chief Minister, flanked by Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan and IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, launched the free bus travel scheme at a programme held on the premises of Pandit Nehru Bus station. The free bus travel scheme was christened as 'Stree Sekshi' scheme.
The Chief Minister formally issued 'zero fare' bus tickets to some women in an APSRTC bus. The Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and the IT &HRA Minister travelled in the bus for some distance via Undavalli caves, Undavalli centre, Tadepalli centre.
