Tirupati, Jan. 15 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday stressed the need to reduce economic inequalities and said the state government has introduced the P-4 programme to handhold the poor and help them achieve financial growth.

Participating in Sankranti celebrations along with his family at his native village Naravaripalle, the Chief Minister said the government is committed to uplifting the poor and ensuring equal opportunities to build a "happy, healthy and wealthy society."Extending Sankranti and Kanuma greetings, Naidu said Tirupati would be developed as a preferred destination for weddings by beautifying tanks in the temple city.
