Vijayawada, Sept. 23 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today condemned what he called a "false campaign" on developing medical colleges in PPP mode and clarified that there is a reduction in free medical seats in the PPP mode.

Giving a PowerPoint presentation on the health sector in the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister asserted that if the Government develops ten medical colleges in PPP mode, overall 110 additional medical seats will be made available every year for AP students in the proposed ten medical colleges. An additional 70 per cent of beds would also be provided, and free medical treatment, diagnostics and medicines made available to the poor, he made it clear.
