Vijayawada, Sept. 3 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked the tourism department officials to encourage home stays with global standards in temple towns for the benefit of pilgrims and to encourage temple tourism.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also directed the officials to promote home stays in Konaseema region and prepare an action plan to involve NRIs also in the project.

Reviewing the tourism sector at the Secretariat on Wednesday, the Chief Minister directed the officials to conduct a tourism event in places like Visakhkapatnam, Vijayawada, Amaravati, Tirupati, Anantapur and Kurnool to develop Andhra Pradesh as a tourism hub.
