Vijayawada, Aug. 14 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that over 2.62 crore women in the state will be benefited with the implementation of 'free bus travel scheme'.
The Chief Minister will launch the flagship scheme of 'free bus travel to women' in the Pandit Nehru Bus Station here on August 15. The 'free bus travel scheme' is named the 'Stree Shakti scheme'. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, taking cue from neighboring Telangana and Karnataka state, before the elections, assured of implementing free bus travel to women, if the TDP led coalition was voted to power.
