Visakhapatnam, Dec. 24 -- The redevelopment of Visakhapatnam Railway Station is being planned with a strong focus on future requirements and world-class passenger amenities, Visakhapatnam MP M Sribharat said on Wednesday.
He told mediapersons that the Railway Board is willing to incorporate several advanced and multi-utility facilities keeping long-term needs in view.
On Wednesday afternoon, Sribharat inspected the ongoing redevelopment works at the station and reviewed the progress with railway officials.
He said that the project, which already involves an investment of Rs 500 crore, is being further enhanced with additional features to meet future demands.
