Ongole, Dec. 12 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Water Resources Management Nimmala Ramanaidu has asserted that the Veligonda major irrigation project will be completed by the end of 2026.
The Minister on Friday inspected the project works at Veligonda accompanied by the officials. He went inside the 18 kilometer long tunnel and inspected the lining work.
Latr, he reviewed the progress of the project with the irrigation and the contract agency officials. Speaking at the site, he said that the government required Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 crore to complete the construction of distributary canals.
