Kakinada, May 26 -- Andhra Pradesh police on Monday seized two cars with 163 kgs ganja and arrested seven smugglers including two women in Kakinada district on Monday, an official said.
Acting on intelligence input, the Peddapuram sub division police intercepted the vehicles near Krishnavaram toll plaza on the national highway and nabbed the smuggling gang including four men, two women and a minor boy.
Eight mobiles were also seized from them.
The arrested smugglers are aged between17 and 42 years. They all are from Visakhapatnam district.
It is stated that the accused under the guise of travellers were smuggling the ganja from Odisha to a smuggler in Shirdi.
