Vijayawada, Jan. 13 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Transport M Prasad Reddy warned the private bus operators of action if the bus fares were hiked taking advantage of heavy passenger rush in view of Sankranthi festival.

In a release here on Tuesday, the Minister warned of seizing private buses, if the fares were hiked exorbitantly, taking advantage of Sankranthi festival rush. He said that the officials are inspecting the private buses. If the private bus operators hiked the bus fares, the buses would be seized by the officials, he added.
