Forest officer B Prabhakar Rao said here on Friday said that the residents of Kurmapuram village of Rayavaram Mandal heard growls from an abandoned house. The forest officials rushed there and found the tiger was inside. They loaded a tranquilizer gun and tried to shoot the big cat with a sedative, but the tiger fled from the house and entered a cattle shed located in nearby fields.

Even the aerial surveillance, using drones, has failed to locate and trap the tiger, the forest officer said, adding that the tiger has fortunately not attacked anyone so far.
