Kakinada, Feb. 9 -- The state-owned APSRTC pressed into service three special buses for the convenience of the pilgrims to the ongoing Kumbha Mela at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

These three special buses-two star liner buses and one super luxury bus were flagged off by the District Public Transport Officer M Srinivasarao at a brief function held at the RTC bus station complex here on Sunday .

The buses during their journey will pass through Bhubaneswar, Puri, Konarak and reach Prayag Raj.

After allowing the pilgrims to have the holy dip at the Triveni sangamam, the buses during the return journey stop at the holy shrines of Varanasi, Gaya, bodhgaya for having darshan .They will return to Kakinada on February 16 .
