Bapatla, May 20 -- In a tragic road accident, three polytechnic students were killed and five others were injured when the car in which they were travelling overturned at Vadarevu of Chirala mandal in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
Police said that nine students went to the beach from Tenali. After spending some time on the beach, they were returning to Tenali. Their car overturned on the road killing Rohit Naik (19), Ajay (18) and Karthik (24). All the deceased were studying at a private polytechnic college in Tenali.
Two of the deceased died instantaneously while another died while being taken to hospital. The injured were admitted to the GGH in Chirala. The police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the GGH for postmortem.
