Chittoor, Oct. 3 -- Police today arrested three youths in Andhra Pradesh for the gangrape and robbery of a teenage girl at a park in the Murakabattu area on the outskirts of Chittoor.
Chittoor sub-division DSP T Sainath told the media that the three accused had spotted the teenage couple at the park on September 9. They threatened the boy at knifepoint, gangraped the girl, and later robbed the couple of their valuables.
The victim lodged a complaint with the police on September 29. A case was registered under various sections of the law, including the POCSO Act, 2012, and the SC/ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2013.
