Kakinada, June 11 -- CPI state executive member Thatipaka Madhu today lashed out at the Andhra Pradesh government for "starving the rural hospitals of medicines" and instead spending funds on Yoga.

At a press conference at Samalkot near here on Wednesday, Madhu said they were not against Yoga and celebration of world Yoga day, but were opposed to forcing employees of all departments, especially women workers of all municipalities, Dwcra women and Anganwadi workers to come on to the roads early in the morning for doing yoga in the name of Yogandhra from May 21 to June 21.

The employees have been subjected to mental tension and hardships, he added.
