Vijayawada, Sept. 9 -- In a horrific incident, an M.Tech student attacked and stabbed a Professor at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge & Technologies, known as Nuzvid IIIT at Nuzvid town, near here today.
Police said that the accused student, Vinay Kumar, hailed from Vizianagaram and was studying M.Tech civil engineering. He went to RGUKT to appear for his lab examination.
As the student had not attended classes properly, Professor SSSV Gopala Raju insisted that he get a No Objection Certificate from the Head of the Department and did not allow him into the examination hall.
