Vijayawada, July 29 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar has announced that the issuance of new 'Smart Ration Cards' will begin on August 25.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Minister Manohar said that the Smart Ration Cards would be distributed to the beneficiaries from August 25 to August 31.
"There are 1,45,97,486 ration card holders in the State. All the ration card holders will be issued New Smart Ration Cards. The MLAs and Ministers will hold meetings in their respective areas to distribute the Smart Ration Cards to the card holders. The new Smart Ration Cards will be given in the place of old conventional ration cards," the Minister made it clear.
