Nellore, Sept. 18 -- In a ghastly road accident, seven people were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a tipper lorry at Peramana village of Sangam mandal in Kadapa-Nellore highway on Wednesday.
Police said that seven people were going to Badwel in Kadapa district from Nellore in the ill-fated car. The car collided with a tipper lorry which came in the wrong direction resulting in all the seven occupants of the car killed instantaneously.
The police extricated the bodies from the ill-fated car with great difficulty using a crane as the car was badly damaged under the impact of the collision. The tipper lorry driver's negligence and rash driving and coming on the wrong route led to the accident, police said. The...
