Amalapuram, Sept. 27 -- The devotees of Goddess Vasavi Matha have demonstrated their devotion in a peculiar way by decorating the mandapam of the temple with currency notes worth Rs 4.50 crore in Amalapuram town in Konaseema district in Andhra Pradesh.

The devotees garlanded goddess Vasavi Matha with a huge garland made of currency notes and decorated the entire mandapam, using currency notes worth rs 4.50 crore. They used currency notes of Rs 500, 200 and 100 denomination. The Arya Vysta Sangh collected contributions from the devotees to garland the idol and decorate the mandapam with currency notes.
