Vijayawada, Oct. 9 -- The Vijayawada Railway Division in the South Central Railway, conducted a mega ticket checking drive across its jurisdiction on October 6 th.
The special check was organised under the supervision of B Prasantha Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division with around 747 Ticket Checking Staff actively participating in the operation.
During this intensive drive, a record Rs 35.46 lakh was realised in a single day by registering 5,512 cases of irregular travel, marking the highest single-day earning for the current financial year, breaking the previous record of Rs 35.16 lakh on 28th September 2025.
