Anantapur, June 28 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for BC and EWS Welfare S Savitha has announced that drinking water will be provided to every household under Amrit 2.0 scheme in Penugonda town.
Minister Savitha, flanked by MP BK Parthasarathi, laid the foundation stone for the construction of Anna canteen at RTO office in Penukonda on Saturday. The Anna canteen will be constructed at a cost of Rs 62 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that every household would be provided a drinking water tap in Penukonda town to provide potable water, adding that the mega drinking water project would be taken up under the Centre's Amrit 2.0 scheme at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
