Vijayawada, Feb. 2 -- union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that Andhra Pradesh has been sanctioned a record budget allocation of Rs 10,134 crores for the year 2026-27.
The Railway Minister who addressed a press conference from New Delhi virtually on Monday, pointed out that in contrast, the annual average budget outlay for undivided Andhra Pradesh State during the years 2009-14 was only Rs. 886 crores.
The Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division Mohit Sonakiya and other officials participated in the conference.
The Railway Minister said that Andhra Pradesh witnessed 11 times increase in average allocation as against the allocations done during the period of 2009-14 for the combined state.
