Vijayawada, Oct. 31 -- In a series of raids under the ongoing 'Operation NARCOS' in Andhra Pradesh, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in coordination with various government agencies, has seized substantial quantities of ganja, an indigenous strain of Cannabis plant used as an intoxicant.
The crackdown, carried out in the October 24-30 period. resulted in the seizure of 190.3 kilograms of dry ganja valued at approximately Rs 9.79 lakh, and the arrest of four offenders involved in the illicit narcotic transport through railway freight trains, an official release stated today.
