Vijayawada, Feb. 3 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture K Atchannaidu said on Tuesday that the tariff reduction from 25 percent to 18 percent by the US government will help to enhance aqua products export from the state.
Atchannaidu told the media here that this tariff reduction would indeed be a boon for Andhra Pradesh, which is the top seafood producer in the country.
He said the revival of exports would help to increase income stability for aqua farmers and fishermen in the State's fisheries and aqua sectors as well as improve employment opportunities and Gross Value Addition (GVA).
