Kakinada, April 27 -- The Rate payers association has appealed to the Andhra Pradesh government to provide further relief to the people, by repealing the Municipal Amendment Act 44/2020 and Government Order 198 that enables 15 percent increase in property tax every year.
Rate payers led by President of the `Citizens Initiative' organisation Duvvuri Subrahmanyam, who is also a senior BJP leader, called on the Municipal Commissioner Bhavana Vasista and gave her a representation on the undue hike in property tax.
They sent a representation to the Minister for Municipal Administration Ponguri Narayana through the Commissioner requesting for immediate action keeping in view the peoples' plight.
