Vijayawada, Dec. 26 -- The Opposition in Andhra Pradesh, the YSRCP has warned the Chandrababu Naidu-led government and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TD) Board not to use the hill shrine Tirumala for political gains.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, former Minister Vellampalli Srinivas said people are scared to visit Tirumala for its shoddy administration. While last year's stampede was still fresh in the minds of people, the lopsided policy of issuing tickets for Metla darshan at Alipiri caused another commotion.
There was no need to shift the counter knowing very well that there would be a huge rush in the wake of the extended holiday, he noted.
