Visakhapatnam, Jan. 26 -- At the 77th Republic Day celebrations, the National Flag was hoisted by District Collector M. N. Hariender Prasad at the Police Parade Ground here on Monday.
As part of the celebrations, the Collector, along with Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Sankabratha Bagchi, inspected the police troops in an open-top jeep.
Police personnel and NCC cadets participated in a ceremonial march past.
After the flag hoisting, students from various schools presented cultural programmes based on the theme of national integration. Nearly 440 students participated in these performances.
Tableaux put up by different government departments showcased their developmental activities.
