Vijayawada, Dec. 19 -- In a shocking incident, a minor boy stabbed to death a mason when he refused to give Rs 10 to the kid to consume liquor on Friday, police said.
According to the police, the 17-year-old boy wanted to have a peg at a bar after midnight in the Kothapet area of the old city, but found he was Rs 10 short. So he asked the deceased Tataji (48) to give him Rs 10. However, Tataji refused and this triggered a verbal duel between them.
The enraged minor stabbed the mason with a knife indiscriminately. Tataji died on the spot. Later the minor boy went to the Kothapet police station and surrendered.
