Nandyala, July 4 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for R&B BC Janardhan Reddy inaugurated the Danish Asphalt Reinforcing Technology road pilot project in Banaganapalli of the district today.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister underlined the need for adopting advanced technology in respect of construction roads here. The minister noted that in the past, lorries with a load of 20 tonnes used to ply on the roads here.
However, with the establishment of cement and granite factories, lorries with a weight of more than 80 tonnes are plying, he highlighted, adding that due to this, the roads are getting damaged in just 3-4 years.
Accordingly, the roads should be constructed in a way that they could withstand challenges, he felt.
