Vijayawada, Feb. 19 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Energy, Gottipati Ravikumar, has assured of providing over 46,000 new agriculture power connections by the beginning of the next agriculture season.

Replying to a question in the Legislative Assembly here on Thursday, Ravikumar said 1,02,538 agriculture power connections had been given since the Naidu-led coalition government came to power.

"There are 22,30,703 agricultural power connections in the State. Over 46,000 applications for agricultural power connections have been pending and they will be given power connections by the beginning of the next agricultural season," the Minister announced.
