Kadapa, Oct. 5 -- In a gruesome incident, a youth killed his mother by slitting her throat and later dragged her body from the bedroom to the varanda of the house at Sriram Nagar colony in Proddatur town I the district on Sunday.
Police said that the accused Uppalapadi Yashwant (23) studied B.Tech but not doing any job. He had been in Hyderabad for the last few months and used to demand his mother to send him money. He came to Praddator on Sunday morning.
Yashwant's mother, the deceased Uppalapati Lakshmi Devi (48) insisted her accused son to search for a job and settle in life. An argument took place between the accused and the deceased on the issue.
