Kakinada, July 22 -- The Lions club Kakinada has distributed stand umbrellas to twenty five petty street vendors at the Ramanayyapeta market at a function held in the market on Tuesday.
Lions club leader Degala Ramesh said that the umbrellas distribution was done to mark the 60 years completion of their club.
He said it was club's Diamond jubilee gift to the vendors who were facing hardships in selling fruits and other goods under scorching sun and also the rain now assured of shelter under the umbrellas.
Adabala Rathna Prasad social activist has complimented the Lions club members for their gesture towards the petty vendors.
