Anantapur, Dec. 27 -- The police arrested a two-member inter-state gang of notorious burglars and recovered booty, including gold jewellery worth Rs 70 lakh.
Informing this to the media here today, Superintendentof police Jagadish said that the two member burglar gang committed many offences in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka states.
The two burglars-Yadavalli Manju and Picchuguntla Ramadas- addicted to vices including cricket betting and poker gambling and consuming liquor.
To fund their vices, they borrowed huge sums from private lenders. When the private moneylender exerted pressure on them to repay the debt, they started committing burglaries to earn money easily. They also indulged in chain snatching and stealing bags from the passenge...
