Kadapa, Oct. 22 -- Two women, identified as agricultural workers, were killed by lightning today as incessant rains under the influence of a low-pressure system left a trail of devastation in four districts of Andhra Pradesh, officials said.
There has been heavy damage to crops in Nellore, Kadapa, Prakasam and Chittoor districts.
In Guntur district, two women were killed when they were struck by lightning at Ponnur village. They were among a group of workers at a paddy field.
