Vijayawada, Sept. 26 -- Home Minister Vangalapudi Anithi directed the official machinery to be on high alert in the wake of the heavy rains under the influence of deep depression.
The Home Minister held a meeting with the district Collectors virtually here on Friday and reviewed the situation. Speaking on the occasion, she said the Meteorological centre forecasted heavy rains during the next 24 hours in the coastal AP districts and two districts in Rayalaseema region, under the influence of deep depression.
