Kakinada, Dec. 10 -- : The Citizen's Initiative, a civic welfare organisation on Wednesday sought the intervention of the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court to intervene and direct the Andhra Pradesh government to release funds to all the local bodies including the Kakinada Municipal Corporation for land acquisition on the city outskirts for construction of shelter homes for stray dogs and cattle.
The organisation also sought awarding of compensation to the deaths caused by the stray dog bites that took place after the Supreme Court's ruling on stray dogs, considering them as the deaths caused by the negligence of the government .
