Vijayawada, Sept. 15 -- Industries Department Secretary Dr. N Yuvraj announced today that five major defence clusters are being established across Andhra Pradesh.
He made it clear this during a review meeting with District Collectors at the Secretariat, where he highlighted that the industrial sector contributes 44 per cent to the State GSDP. He stressed the need for special focus on strengthening the sector and ensuring speedy facilitation for investors.
"A Naval Cluster over 3,000 acres between Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam is being established while a Missile & Ammunition Cluster over 3,000 acres at Jaggaiahpet in NTR district. An Unmanned Systems Cluster over 3,000 acres to be established at Orvakal in Kurnool district," he announced....
