Hindupur, Dec. 11 -- The police arrested five notorious interstate burglars and recovered booty worth Rs 40 lakh including gold jewellery and three motorcycles in Hindupur city of Sri Satya Sai district on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference in Hindupur police station on Wednesday, Sri Satya Sai district Superintendent of police S Satish Kumar said that the burglars committed many burglaries in AP and neighbouring States.
A police team arrested them and recovered gold jewellery weighing 309 grams, silver ornaments and three motorcycles. The SP gave the names of arrested burglars as B Ratnaraju, S N Babu Prasad, MG Ganga Raju, Uppara Suresh and Siddiq Saab.
