Kurnool, Oct. 6 -- Tomato prices in the wholesale market have crumbled and farmers registered their protest by dumping their tomato produce on the road at Pattikonda.
The tomato farmers told the media that tomato was sold at the Pattikonda market yard between Rs 8-10 per a KG till October 2. Suddenly the price declined to Rs 4 per KG. The agitating farmers dumped their tomato produce on the road and raised slogans demanding MSP for their tomato produce. The traffic on the Pattikonda-Kurnool was disrupted.
