Kakinada, July 29 -- The Prohibition and Excise department has declared the Godarigunta, a predominant fishermen locality known for illicit distillation of arrack, as free from illicit arrack.
Excise circle Inspector Kakinada north K. Ramamohanarao on Tuesday conducted the Grama Sabha at the Godarigunta village secretariat and counseled the resident of the area against distillation, sale and Consumption of illicit arrack.
The residents were explained in detail about the importance of the 2.0 Navodayam scheme announced by the government.
