Vijayawada, Sept. 24 -- Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan has assured the agitating fishermen of resolving the pollution issue and announced that a committee comprising higher officials, representatives of fishermen and local leaders will be set up to identify the problems.
A large number of fishermen at Uppada area in Kakinada district are agitating in protest against the pollution being generated by the pharmaceutical industries. The farmers of the area are voicing their concern on the pollution as it is affecting their livelihood.
