Visakhapatnam, Dec. 14 -- The DRM Cup All India Invitation Football Tournament kicked off on Sunday at Waltair Football Stadium here.
Organized by the East Coast Railway Sports Association (ECoRSA), the event will conclude on December 21. Matches will be held day and night under floodlights. Fourteen teams from various states and organizations are participating. The inaugural game pitted Telangana against Bandamunda.
Divisional Railway Manager and ECoRSA President, Lalit Bohra, inaugurated the tournament. Bohra announced that Waltair Division will host regular football tournaments on a grand scale, calling this an ideal time to launch such initiatives.
