Guntur, Sept. 25 -- A doctor and his daughter were killed, and two others were injured, in a car crash in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district today, police said.
The accident occurred at Tatapudi village of Chilakaluripet mandal on the Chennai-Kolkata Highway, police said.
A family of seven was travelling from Tirupati to Guntur when their car rammed a road divider, instantly killing Dr. Tangella Venkata Kishore (42) and his seven-year-old daughter, Aswanandini.
The injured were admitted to the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Chilakaluripet. The deceased doctor, Venkata Kishore, worked as an assistant professor at SVIMS hospital in Tirupati.
