Vijayawada, Oct. 29 -- The Montha cyclone has wreaked havoc in seven districts in Andhra Pradesh with crops in over five lakh acres damaged and two persons killed even as hundreds of villages were cut off due to submergence of roads. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu conducted an aerial survey to assess the situation.
The cyclone that made landfall in Konaseema district late last night, damaged crops including paddy, papaya, plantain, cotton, maize and chilli in East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts.
